Morocco Desert Trip Of 4 Days – From Fes To Marrakech

ITINERARY: ​4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS MOROCCO DESERT TRIP FROM FES TO MARRAKECH

DAY 1: FES ARRIVAL  –  CITY TOUR

After meeting you at the airport, our driver will take you to your Riad or hotel. We will take you on a city tour of Fes to explore and visit the main attractions of the city. If you have never heard of the oldest university in the world ‘El-Karaouine’, you will visit it on this journey. Then, you will explore the UNESCO old medina of Fes, also called Fes el-Bali. From there, we head to the famous Chouara Tannery which makes the city a leader of the tanning industry. Later, you will head to see the beautiful architecture of Dar el-Makhzan. Lastly, you will end the day in your riad. Take your dinner earlier and sleep earlier to refresh because the next day we will drive for about 7 hours.       

Day 2: FEs – IFRAN – AZROU – MIDELT – ER-RACHIDIA – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

On the second day of our Morocco Desert Trip, we drive through the middle Atlas passing by Ifran “Moroccan Switzerland” and stopping in Azrou. You will take pictures in the cedar forest with the Barbary apes. Along our road, we will pass by several Berber towns and you will get the opportunity to experience the nomadic life. The road is rich in mountain series.

You will have your lunch in the small village of Zaida or Midelt. Continuing our tour by driving south to the desert of Merzouga passing by the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass (pass in the mountain). Later on, you will cross Ziz Gorge before arriving in Errachidia, where you can see the Barrage Hassan Al-Dakhil (a large water store). The next village is Erfoud, where you can see the fossil products. Continue driving, you will start to see the desert from Erfoud until you reach Merzouga village. You will prepare for a camel trek to reach the desert camp in the heart of Erg Chebbi dunes where you will attend the panoramic sunset and spend the night, to enjoy the Gnawa music. The starry sky makes the desert night in Merzouga a magical one. 7 hours drive

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – Todra Gorges – Skoura – Ouarzazate

You must wake up earlier in the morning to catch the gorgeous sunrise. Take your breakfast. Then, we will start driving toward Ouarzazate. As we will reach Todra Gorges Firstly. Where We will stop to walk and enjoy the gorgeous walls of rocks and the long river. Following that, we will get to the beautiful city of Kalaat M’Gouna, known as the Roses Valley which is famous for the Roses Festival. Next, you will get to Skoura, Where a lot of  kasbahs stand amongst the palm trees. While Kasbah Amridil is near the gardens and fields and it is the Kasbah that you must see in Skoura. Furthermore, carry on driving to Ouarzazate 

DAY 4: OUARZAZATE – AÏT BENHADDOU – TIZI N’TICHKA PASS – MARRAKECH

On the last day of your desert trip from Fes to Marrakech, you will have your breakfast in the hotel, then, we will drive to Marrakech via Ait Benhaddou where we will stop to discover the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou before you drive to the last city in this tour via Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa. Arrive in Marrakech where our Morocco Desert Trip ends.
