Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
We will depart from Marrakech in the morning. Transport on a comfortable air-conditioning Desert Space Tour car. We will head via the High Atlas Mountain exploring several Berber villages. You will cross the Tizi n’Tichka (Pastoral Pass), a pass at 2,260m, located on the highest road in Morocco. This pass connects Ouarzazate to the entire southeastern region and Marrakech. The first stop is the kasbah of Telouet, situated on the high ground of the Ounila Valley.
During your lunch break at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, you can admire a typical ksar of traditional Moroccan architecture in a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will then drive to Ouarzazate, the town of the cinema, where we will visit a museum and film studios. Later, we will drive to the marvelous gorges of Dades in the region of Daraa and the beautiful Valley of Roses where we will check into a hotel for the first night overlooking the valley.
DAY 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)
Take your breakfast, then we will leave the Dades Gorges toward Merzouga and Erg Chebbi. The route passes through beautiful mountain scenery before reaching Todra Gorge, the starting point for trekking in the highest mountains of the High Atlas. After visiting the ancient Kasbahs, we will have lunch in Erfoud, a small village known for its fossils. Arriving in Merzouga, we will leave the 4×4 and ride the camels back into the desert to our bivouac. We will enjoy the magic of the sunset amidst the great dunes of Erg Chaabi and then spend an unforgettable evening by the fire with nomadic music under the starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Agdez – Ourzazate – Marrakech
On the last day, you won’t want to miss the panoramic sunrise and the incredible tranquility of the Sahara desert in this magical moment. After that, a delicious breakfast awaits you at the camp. The afternoon stage will take us to Agdez, where we will discover small villages along the magnificent Draa valley, lined with palm trees and ancient kasbahs. After crossing the Tizi N’Tinifift Pass (1660m) we arrive in Ouarzazate where we have lunch before returning to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and the high pass of Tizi Tichka.
