We leave Marrakech via the Tichka Pass towards the desert. We drive via the Draa Valley to the green palm grove of Tansikht, then turn onto a small road on the southern slope of Jebel Saghro and finally reach Nqob, the stronghold of the Ait Atta tribe. In the late afternoon, depending on the arrival time, we will discover the village of Nab, known for its clay-preserved buildings, and walk through a palm grove.
Day 2: Ramlia via Tazzarin – Hiking the dunes of Foum Titsa and Umm Jran
After breakfast, we continue our Morocco hiking tours in the south of the country on a road that crosses the Tagbalt Desert and leads us to the beautiful dunes of Foum Tizza. The dunes are nestled against the mountain. For a first introduction to the desert, we walk through the heart of the Foum Tizza dunes. Overnight at the comfortable Kasbah & Ramlia.
Day 3: Walking in the Ramlia Dune – Merzouga
Today we will walk the dunes of Ramlia to discover this beautiful wild region and its dune landscapes. After walking in the village of Ramlia, there is an opportunity to have tea in one of the homes of the locals. We will then continue through the nomadic territory of Ait Khabbach to Merzouga and the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi: overnight camel trekking in Merzouga at the end of the day. You can choose either to camp in a traditional Berber camp or a luxury bivouac.
Day 4: Hiking in the dunes of ERG CHEBBY – Head to the GORGES OF TODRA
Continuing our Morocco hiking tour through the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the famous dunes in Morocco. In the morning light, we cross several desert landscapes, which offer wonderful places for pictures. Then, we will depart the desert landscape of the southeast and drive along Jebel Saghro to the heart of the Todra Gorge. The pass to the gorges offers an impressive view, which is made of continuous curves at the foot of the mountain. Following small paths through fields and palm groves until we start seeing a magnificent view of the gorge and palm grove.
Both the Todgha River and Dades River cause these impressive cliff narrow canyons through the mountain making it one of the most interesting sites for hiking. We will enjoy walking along the gorges and having lunch in the heart of the river. After a day of hiking, we will spend the night in a hotel at the foot of the mountain.
Day 5: TODRA GORGE – KELAA M’GOUNA – TABERACHT (M’GOUN valley):

The nature here is marvelous, you will enjoy birdsong and meet small Berber villages cultivating their little patch of green land. It’s a great site for relaxing and inspiring. You will continue through the path of thousand Kasbahs towards Kelaa M’guna, the rose capital, and spend the night in a guesthouse on a rocky peak with a magnificent panorama and a magical view of the Rose Valley and the Atlas Mountains.
