Trip to Sahara desert from Agadir – Overview:
The trip to Sahara desert is 4 days and 3-night from Agadir starting at 09:00. We will reach Taroudant where we can stop to have a look at the ancient city called “little Marrakech“, then to Taliouine which is a city famous for saffron. After that, we reach Taznakht a Berber town known for hand women’s Berber rugs and carpets.
Next, we pass through Foum Zguid, the last village before the desert. Then we cross about 90 kilometers off-road, and we see many fossilized rocks, Iriki Lake is dry now. Then, we reach the big dunes of Morocco Erg Chegaga where you have Sandboarding, camel riding, and enjoying the sunset above the dunes of Erg Chegaga. The night will be in the tent at Erg Chegaga. The next day, enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Chegaga, and cross another incredible 60 km off-road through M’hamid El Ghizlane, after Tamegroute is known for its Quran library and pottery. Next, DRAA Valley and the big oasis of Morocco, and then we will pass from Agdez, Ouarzazate, Ait Benhaddou, and Telouet. After that, we will cross the High Atlas and Tizi N’Tichka (2260 m) pass. Then Marrakech to end our experience trip to Sahara desert from Agadir.

Wonderful 4-day Trip to Sahara, Desert from Agadir – itinerary:
Day 1: Agadir – Taroudante – Taliouine 3 Hours
The trip from Agadir to Erg Chegaga desert, will start at 8 am from your hotel, and take you to the heart of the desert for 4 days and 3 nights. On this road, we will see many Argan trees in the area of Taroudante. After a short distance, we will arrive in Taroudant, where we can stop to see the ancient city known as “Little Marrakech”. After that, we will go on our journey to Taliouine famous in Morocco for saffron city, where you will spend the night in Taliouine. Dinner and breakfast in the hotel.
Day 2: Taliouine – Taznakhte – Foum Zguid – Iriki – Erg Chegaga 5 Hours
After having your breakfast, we will continue our adventure to the Erg Chegaga Desert via the Anti-Atlas Mountains, where the scenery will change from desert to great, locked mountains. Then we will pass through Taznakht a Berber town famous for its handmade rugs and carpets. After that, we will drive to Foum Zguid, the last village before going through the desert, where we will stop for lunch. Then we take off-road 90 kilometers which will take you via rocky, sandy areas. We will be passing many fossilized mountains and a dried Iriki Lake. Then Erg Chegaga, these dunes are far from any civilization and you will have the chance to experience sandboarding and a camel ride. After your dinner, we gather around the fire and sing Berber music under the sky full of stars. You will sleep in the tent at the desert camp.
Day 3: Erg Chegaga – M’hamid – Tamagroute – Zagora – Draa Valley – Agdaz 5 Hours
We recommend getting up early so you don’t miss the dawn, which is a magnificent sight. After breakfast, we travel (60 km) through M’hamid to Tamegroute, where we have a break to explore Kasbah and pottery before continuing to Draa Valley. We pass through many towns, and gardens to give you a greater sense of the way of life along the oasis. The journey will conclude in Agdez, where we will spend the night in a hotel and have dinner and breakfast.
Day 4: Agdaz – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Telouat – Marrakech 5 Hours
After breakfast, we drive across the Anti Atlas Mountains (1660 m) to the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a fortified ksar with a beautiful Kasbah. Ait Benhaddou has a natural scenery for many movies, then you will cross the river to the other side to discover the old village. After that, the road continues to the Telouet Kasbah, which belonged to the Lords of the Atlas mountains, and which now stands in ruins and guts after we cross the High Atlas mountains. Then we will pass Tizi N’tichka an elevation of 2.260m, After that, the tour continues and ends in Marrakech.
