Desert Tour From Marrakech to Erg Lihoudi of 2 days – itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Zagora – M’hamid – Erg Lihoudi 8 hours
We will Depart our desert trips from Marrakech to Erg Lihoudi at 7:30 a.m. Next, we will drive over the majestic High Atlas mountains pass of Tizi N’Tichka (2260 meters in height). We will drive you from the special steep route and the spectacular Berber buildings. Then we continue driving, and we will move from Ouarzazate.
After that we will cross the second peak, Tizi-N’Tinfifite (1660 m ), we will drive through the top peak of the Draa Valley which is Agdz, while watching the stunning panorama of the palm groves and Draa River. Following that, continue driving amidst many villages and gardens to give you a greater picture of the way of life along with the Oasis. After that, we will arrive in M’hamid, where you will have a camel ride for around two hours to the Erg Lihoudi dunes, Where you will enjoy dinner. and listen to traditional music at the campfire. You will spend the night in a traditional tent at the desert camp.
Day 2: Erg Lihoudi – Zagora – Agdez – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech 8 hours
We recommend you wake up earlier to witness the sunrise above the desert dunes. After that, you will enjoy your breakfast in the desert camp and we continue the journey back toward Marrakech through the Draa Valley, and Agdz to explore the hidden gems of the southern area and pass Ouarzazate. Next, we’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Ait Benhaddou, a fortified ksar renowned for its majestic kasbah, it has been a stunning backdrop for many films, including Gladiator (2000) and Lawrence of Arabia (1962). Lunch will be somewhere, and after that back to Marrakesh.
