On this Sahara desert tour, we start our 2-day/1 night from Ouarzazate to Merzouga in the morning, through the Todgha Gorges and the southern valleys to the Erg Chebbi in the desert of Merzouga. Stretch your legs in the canyon Todgha Gorge, meet the Berber people, and share with them a unique moment.
A camel ride into the sunset on the dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will have the chance to experience a Sand bath and walk over the dunes of Erg Chebbi to enjoy the sunset and sunrise. After dinner, we will sing Berber music around a fire under a Sky full of stars, then sleep in the tent at Erg Chebbi. The next day, we return to Ouarzazate via Draa Valley to end our experience of the Sahara Desert tour.

Our suggested program for the 2-day Morocco Sahara Desert Tour
Day 1: Ouarzazate – Todgha Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga 5 Hours
In Ouarzazate, we will pick you up from your hotel/Riad or the airport. Passing through the Skoura Oasis, where several historic Kasbahs, some of which are tragically in ruins, exist among the palms.
Our trip from here takes us via Kelaat Mgouna, the Valley of Flowers, where cosmetic items are created locally from the valley’s roses.
These items are well-known and highly regarded across Morocco. We will make a halt at the stunning Todgha Gorges. We will continue our Sahara desert tours to Merzouga via Erfoud after lunch. Then, in Merzouga, you’ll take a camel ride to the camp, traversing the Erg Chebbi dunes. Dinner and a night’s sleep are in a tent bivouac, but before dinner, we assemble around the fire under a starry sky. Spend the night in the tent.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Draa Valley – Agdz – Ouarzazate 5 Hours
Wake up early enough and you will get the chance to watch the spectacle of the sunrise when the color of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight. After breakfast, the itinerary continues to the Draa Valley, via the village of Tazarine (featured in the film Babel), and lunch is somewhere along the way. In the afternoon, the journey takes us to Tansikht to drive along the ancient caravan route and discover the real Draa Valley with its huge palm trees and ancient villages. At Agdez, at the head of the Draa Valley, there will be a visit to Tamnougalte Kasbah before returning to Ouarzazate, via the Anti-Atlas Mountains, with their amazing rock formations on the mountainsides (1660m). Then head back to Ouarzazate to end our experience of the Sahara Desert tours.
